Introduction
Samsung will showcase its first monitor with Intel’s cutting-edge ThunderBolt 3 connectivity at CES 2018.
Besides the impeccable connectivity that simultaneously provides up to 85W charging power, 40 Gbps data transfer speed as well as audio/video streaming, the Samsung CJ791 will also offer stunning image quality thanks to its 3440×1440 resolution and quantum-dot technology.
Image Quality & Features
The Samsung C34J791 is based on a high-contrast VA panel with 178-degree viewing angles and a quick 4ms response time speed. The monitor also boasts the quantum-dot technology which further extends the contrast ratio and color gamut to 125% sRGB resulting in a vibrant picture quality.
The UWQHD resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and 21:9 aspect ratio provide plenty of screen real estate as well as vivid and sharp details, making the Samsung CJ791 display great for both working and gaming.
The refresh rate of the monitor is unknown at the moment, but we do know that it will feature a ‘Game Mode’ which uses a dynamic gamma setting to enhance contrast and colors to suit video games.
The Samsung C34J791 ultra-wide monitor features an aggressive 1500R curvature for a more immersive viewing experience. The design consists of ultra-slim bezels while ergonomics include height adjustment and tilt abilities.
